Thing # 8

bloglines

This will be very useful in eliminating some of the chaff that is encountered when searching for the latest in areas of interest. I could spend lots of time making my skills more proficient if I had the time! I am finding that with practice, the steps are coming more easily. I have put links to news and to other participants in Learning 2.0 on my blogline. The Washington Post and Reader's Club could not be added at this time.

I read in the newspaper that J. W. Marriott was creating a blog because he noticed that travel industry information can be found and distributed there. When an elder businessman who could have any assistance and access to information he wanted set up his own blog to post his own thoughts, I realized that new technologies are reaching all sectors of our society.

I have completed the first 6 tasks in Learning 2.0 with not a little assistance from my coworkers who are always very helpful to those of us not so technically blessed.

The creativity that can be expressed using Flickr is amazing.

I posted a comment on another blog, but I have been doing this all along. It is fun to receive them.

Thing # 6

I have added a billboard to my blog advertising horse country. I've learned a lot about the wonders of nature as well as the computer world.

Christmas is celebrated with community spirit in Middleburg. The library participates in a big way in the holiday parade with The Bookworm and Dewey. And a very talented member of the staff makes a lovely wreath for the front door.

A while away

Today is my first day back after taking care of my husband who had surgery. I think I'd rather be here than what the past 10 days have presented.

Thing # 5

Here's my flickr photo: Christmas Parade
My photos have been tagged l2lcpl but have not shown up. This project takes a lot of time. I have tried twice to add tags and both times they are not showing up in l2lcpl but do show up in my flickr account.
